There are a plenty of opportunities for a law graduate. One can either practice as an advocate in a court of law or work with corporate firms. By clearing exams conducted by public service commissions, a law graduate can become a judge. After gaining experience, a law graduate can hope to become solicitor General, a Public Prosecutor or offer services to government departments and ministries. One can also work as a legal adviser for various organisations. Teaching in colleges, working with NGOs and working as a reporter for newspapers and television channels are other attractive options.
The following is the career options for the law candidate
CLAT, Common Law Admission Test is a centralized test for admission to 18 National Law Universities in India. 43 other education institutes and two public sector institutes are also eligible to use these scores. It is conducted to grant admissions to LLB and LLM courses offered at various law universities in India.
B.A. L.L.B/ B.L.: This is a 5-year course and the students can pursue this course after passing Class 12.>
L.L.B: This is a 3-year course, open for graduates.
L.L.M/ M.L.: This is a postgraduate course in Law. The duration of the course is 2year. Students can pursue this course after completing B.A. L.L.B. or L.L.B.
